Jazz 88ist

Released in 2009, Jazz 88ist features timeless jazz standards of the twentieth century.

Nothing compares to live music.  Whether at a small jazz club, hotel lobby, or backyard barbeque, the unspoken rules of musical engagement offer a level of interaction ripe with fresh opportunities for elegant musical conversation, spontaneous improvisation, and deft styling.  This degree of audience involvement infuses the performer with freedom and a level of inspiration often lacking in a larger, formal environment.  With proper care, design, and patience, each piece can develop into its own little jewel, complete with its special set of hand-crafted bevels and sparkling optical reflections.  The piano music in Jazz 88ist evokes a setting of a small West Coast jazz club, one suitable for some of the most requested songs of the last century.  Toward this goal, each piece was performed entirely in one take, with no interruptions and no editing.
